ANTHEM#9

A turn-based deck-building rogue-lite where you complete secret missions to maintain balance in the world. Complete unique puzzle-based battles by reordering three-colored Gems (red/green/blue) you receive each turn, to activate a wide range of unique Skills!

Dangerous minds, mad scientists, slippery spies… threats to the world order exist in many forms.

Eliminating them to preserve balance and harmony is the goal of the secret society known as “ANTHEM#9”.

Boundaries between good and evil are blurred in a twisting story of global intrigue, focusing on an agent with mind-altering superpowers, and the dangerous target they are assigned to eliminate.

Throughout history, ANTHEM#9 has identified powerful individuals and cutting-edge technology as threats to world balance, and preemptively eliminated key targets to secretly avert worldwide crises.

Rubit

The game’s protagonist and an ANTHEM #9 agent with a mysterious background.

Rubit’s actions always follow a principle of balanced beauty.

Their talkative personality hides a rational mind which can be ruthless in eliminating targets.

A cunning fighter who combines daggers and poison for maximum effect.

Combine Gems to unleash Skills in puzzle-based battles!

You randomly receive Gems of three colors (red/green/blue) each turn. Combine the correct numbers of gems to complete Skill Recipes and attack your enemies.

You can assign up to four Skills to your deck, and continue using Skill until you run out of Gems for that turn. Experiment with various setups to maximize your combo potential!

A solo game developer active since 2021.

Starting with zero experience in the game industry, and despite not being a programmer, koeda made the choice to revisit a long-running dream of creating games. Starting past age 30 and learning the basics through tutorial books, kept going however lost they felt. An active exhibitor at indie game events.

ANTHEM#9, koeda’s first game, won the grand prize in Shueisha Game Creators CAMP’s “GAME BBQ vol.2” in the “No Demo” category.
